09 Yiwu Toys Exhibitions Shift from Export Trade to Domestic Market

According to the 5th Yiwu Toys & Children's Products Fair (Yiwu Toys Fair for short) this month, influenced by global financial crisis, both the structure of toys exhibition and the marketing target of Yiwu enterprises have changed. That is Yiwu toys exhibitions and Yiwu toys enterprises shift from export trade to domestic market. There are more than 150 toys enterprises from coast to coast shared the 200 exhibition booths in this fair with exhibiting products of electrical plastic toys, remote toys, electrical intelligent toys, plush toys, children entertainment products, children's stationery, children's gifts and so on. Some toys accessories are also showed in the exhibition. Most of the exhibitor comes from Yangtz River Delta and Pearl River Delta. Of purchaser participated in Yiwu Toys Fair, the number of foreign purchaser is decreasing obviously while mainland purchasers are rising dramatically. The main reason for the changes discovered in Yiwu Toys Fair is the toys enterprises shift target from export trade to domestic market under the global finance crisis. Therefore, Yiwu Exhibition hold the Yiwu Toys Fair successfully by adjusting the model of exhibition organizations and expanding the domestic enterprises which taking domestic marketing as oriented trade. In terms of the demands of domestic marketing development, most of the enterprises participate the Yiwu Toys Fair to seek for new development. According to the Yiwu Toys Fair, those new products designed humanized with advanced technique are favored by purchasers at home and abroad. In addition, the educational toys and children’s products are paid close attention by foreign purchaser with one-quarter trade volume.
