Yiwu Customs Was Officially Opened on July 15 |

As the world largest export base and circulation center of commodities, Yiwu was officially awarded the authority of customs, and Yiwu Customs was officially opened on July 15th, 2009, which is the first county-level customs house affiliated with Hangzhou Customs directly. The newly opened Yiwu Customs made its first business at 9:00 in the morning. As Zhang Jun, the chief of the customs expressed, some convenient measures will be released later, which can greatly speed up the procedure of customs clearance. It is known that almost 300,000 purchasers from both domestic and overseas market are coming to Yiwu everyday. More than 10,000 of them are foreigners from more than 100 countries. 2124 foreign enterprises of 82 countries have set representative offices in Yiwu. Yiwu commodities are exported to 215 countries and territories. Therefore, because of the importance of Yiwu, it is necessary for Yiwu Customs office to be upgraded to Yiwu Customs. It is predicted that the opening of Yiwu Customs will helpfully push the development of Yiwu commodities export.
