Yiwu is Worlds largest small commodities markets to expand

The world’s largest small commodities markets in Yiwu City of Zhejiang Province will expand soon.

Construction on the third phase of an international trading mall inside the town willenlarge the total area of the town by 1.75 million square meters to 4.35 million square meters.With an investment of five billion Yuan (US$666 million), the expansion will be put into use in October next year.The mall now has 25,000 shops and includes facilities for traveling and entertainmentas well as shopping.


The Yiwu International Trade City is composed of three similar malls and more than 50 shopping streets. At least 200,000 businessmen gather there and their shops receive 200,000 visitors a day on average.
